The Easter Fair in Craiova continues to transform Nicolae Romanescu Park into a fairytale destination, solidifying the city’s reputation as a capital of spring. Until May 1st, visitors are invited daily to discover spectacular decorations, unique stalls, interactive play areas, holographic projections, and many other surprises, all set in an enchanting atmosphere open from morning until late evening. The event, organized by Craiova City Hall, promises a memorable experience for all ages.
Unmissable Attractions and Special Events in the City of Bănie
Beyond the impressive decorations and stalls offering traditional goodies and handmade gifts (open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM), the fair boasts a multitude of activities. Every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, between 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM), weather permitting, visitors can admire the park from a hot air balloon ascending from the Velodrome. Children have access to enchanted glades with interactive workshops and playgrounds. In the evening, the lake comes alive with unique holographic projections scheduled at fixed times (see detailed program below). Furthermore, on certain evenings, a spectacular Venetian Ball on the lake, performed by artists from the Craiova Romanian Opera and the Oltenia Philharmonic Craiova, will precede the 8:45 PM projections.
The Easter holidays will feature special concerts: Damian Drăghici & Brothers will take the stage on Sunday, April 20th, and Feli will perform on Monday, April 21st. The atmosphere will be enhanced by local artists and DJs, turning the area into a genuine Carnival Party. A highlight will be the fireworks show scheduled for Sunday, April 20th, at 9:00 PM, visible from the lake area.
The Craiova Easter Fair awaits visitors to experience the magic of spring daily until Thursday, May 1st, amidst the enchanting scenery of Nicolae Romanescu Park. The event is organized in partnership with numerous local cultural institutions and supported by sponsors.
