The Dolj County Council announced today, April 16, 2025, the launch of a new single ticket that facilitates visitor access to seven of the most important museum sites in the county. This new option allows for the exploration of various cultural institutions with a single purchase, valid for 15 days. The ticket can be acquired both physically and online in digital format.
Simplified and More Accessible Cultural Exploration in Dolj
The new single ticket covers entry to a variety of prestigious institutions: the Craiova Art Museum, the three distinct sections of the Oltenia Museum (History – Archaeology, Natural Sciences, and Ethnography), the Museum of the Romanian Book and Exile, as well as the traditional architectural monuments Izvoranu – Geblescu Kula and Cernătești Kula. With an extended validity of 15 days from the date of purchase, the ticket offers flexibility for visitors planning their cultural tours.
The implementation of the purchasing system is complete, allowing for easy ticket acquisition. It can be bought directly from the ticket offices of the included museums or, for added convenience, online via dedicated digital platforms on the main institutions’ websites: www.muzeuldeartacraiova.ro, www.muzeulolteniei.ro, and www.muzeulexiluluiromanesc.ro.
Cosmin Vasile, President of the Dolj County Council, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “Visitors to the museums in Craiova and the museum points in the county will be able to purchase a single ticket that ensures entry to all institutions within 15 days. […] With this ticket, one can visit the Art Museum, the three sections of the Oltenia Museum, the Museum of the Romanian Book and Exile, as well as the kulas in Brabova and Cernătești. Besides the benefit brought by the digitalization of the purchase, we also aim to encourage visitors to see as many of the museum sections included in this program.”
A particularly attractive aspect of the single ticket is the significant financial advantage. Its cost represents only 20% of the total amount that would have been required to purchase individual tickets for each of the seven sites. The launch of this ticket is part of the Dolj County Council’s broader efforts to support and promote public access to culture and local heritage.
Un aspect deosebit de atractiv al biletului unic este avantajul financiar semnificativ. Costul acestuia reprezintă doar 20% din totalul cheltuielilor care ar fi fost necesare pentru achiziționarea biletelor individuale la fiecare dintre cele șapte obiective. Lansarea acestui tichet se încadrează în demersurile Consiliului Județean Dolj de a sprijini și promova accesul publicului larg la actul de cultură și la patrimoniul local.
